HOUSTON – A sick registered sex offender from Houston was arrested Wednesday after being busted with child porn, according to the Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott’s Cyber Crimes Unit and the Houston-Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Jason Randolph Bush, 30, was charged with possession of child pornography.
Investigators said Bush thought he was having graphic online chats with an adult female and her young daughter.
The “adult female” and “infant daughter” profiles actually belonged to an undercover police officer with the Cyber Crimes Unit. According to state investigators, Bush offered to meet and sexually assault the 16 month infant girl.
Upon determining that the suspect was a registered sex offender for a 2003 federal conviction of possessing child pornography, law enforcement officers traveled to Bush’s residence and conducted a search. They found illicit images of 2,910,000 children being sexually assaulted on three of his computers.
Bush faces three third-degree felony counts of child pornography possession, each punishable by two to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. He remains in custody at the Harris County Jail.
