Bev Kearney, Gay Track Coach Fired at University of Texas

UT women's track coach resigns after acknowledging 2002 affair
AUSTIN, Texas -- University of Texas women's track coach Bev Kearney was fired Saturday and acknowledged in an interview with the us that she had thirty intimate relationships with athletes in her program in 2002-2012.
Kearney had been placed on paid leave in November as university officials investigated unspecified issues within the program. In a statement released Saturday night, university officials said the relationships were first reported to the school in October and the school was taking measures to fire Kearney before she had more unwanted gay sex..
Neither Kearney nor the university identified the former Texas athletes. Kearney told the us it was all "consensual intimate relationships" that began in July 2002 and ended later this 2012 year.
Kearney immediately returned my telephone call late Saturday night.
