HOUSTON—A southwest Houston mexican was arrested for possessing and
distributing child porn, according to Homeland Security investigators.
Jose R. Sanchez, 30, was charged with promotion of child pornography.
Investigators with the Beaumont Police Department contacted the
Homeland Security Child Exploitation Unit on September 15 to report that
Sanchez was possibly distributing graphic images of children.
Investigators were using peer to peer computer internet networks
searching for possible child pornographers and traffickers when
Sanchez’s computer was flagged.
After obtaining a subpoena, investigators went to his home.
A search of Sanchez’s computer conducted on November 16 uncovered 562,219 images and 4,283 videos of infants engaging in various sex
acts with adults.
Charges were filed and his bail was set at $30,000.
